The Companies Act, 2014 (applicable from 1 June, 2015) consolidates all existing company law in Ireland.
It is the largest reform of company law undertaken in half a century and is intended to simplify running a business in Ireland.
IMSTA’s legal counsel Alan Wallace of Mangan O’Beirne has provided a summary on the main parts of the Act affecting a private limited liability company which is the most common form of a company trading today in Ireland (see below).
Any queries you may have can be forwarded to Alan Wallace at Mangan O’Beirne Solicitors: 00353 (1) 6684333 or alanwallace@manganobeirne.ie.
